Funnel Trap with Opaque Green Cup - Versatile Monitoring with Chromatic Discretion

The Funnel Trap entirely in opaque green was developed for the selective monitoring of medium to large lepidoptera and small to medium-sized coleoptera that act at ground level, in forests, vegetable crops (especially leafy and legume crops), meadows and pastures. Its opaque green colour gives it a discreet presence in the field, ideal for environments where the aim is to avoid attracting beneficial insects, such as bees and other pollinators, with the target pests being attracted by the action of specific semiochemicals (sex pheromones or others) (purchased separately).

This trap is particularly effective in detecting pests such as Agriotes spp., whose larvae attack the root zone and the base of the stems of various crops. Its versatility allows suspended or partially buried installation, adapting to the behaviour of the target species, whether these are flying or active at ground level.

Installation should be carried out at the level of the tree canopy or slightly above the crop. In cases of partial burying, the cup should be buried up to ground level, keeping the funnel exposed to ensure the entry of the insects.

Dose: 2 to 10 traps w/ dispenser/ha (depending on the objective, plot, crop density, season and intensity of the attack).

Attention: Adding 100 to 200 ml of water (2 to 3 cm in height) with a few drops of neutral soap or unused vegetable oil in the bottom of the cup helps to retain the captured insects inside the trap. Frequent monitoring and cleaning of the trap is recommended.
