Rebell^® Giallo - Yellow Chromotropic Traps for Professional Pest Monitoring in Protected Crops and Vineyards

The Rebell^® Giallo system is a reusable, ecological and highly effective solution for the monitoring and control of flying pests, especially in greenhouses and vineyards. Each package contains 25 yellow chromotropic traps (15 x 8 cm), with glue and ready to install.

Target Pests

Suitable for the detection and assessment of the population pressure of:

• Whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum e Bemisia tabaci);
• Leafminer fly / leafminer larva (Liriomyza spp. e Agromyzidae);
• Fungus gnat / sciarid fly (Bradysia spp. e Lycoriella spp.);
• Leafhoppers / cicadellids (Jacobiasca lybica, Scaphoideus titanus e Empoasca spp.);
• Thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis and other species).

Method of Use

• Install with rigid wire or support oriented north-south;
• Keep up to 10 cm distance above the crop canopy: Recommended density: 1 trap per 50 m² (≈ 200 per hectare); Never lower than 1 per 250 m².

Monitoring and Analysis

• Carry out weekly counts;
• Replace traps or glue when saturated with insects;
• In low counts, keep traps and add captures cumulatively;
• For analysis: Remove traps and place in a transparent plastic bag; Stick the plastic to the surface to facilitate counting; Assign a code by location and record in a protocol; Add captures per greenhouse or plot; Use graphs to assess the effectiveness of the control measures.

Phytosanitary Recommendations

• Use only authorised plant protection products;
• Follow the information provided in the circulars of the Agricultural Warning Station;
• Respect the production method of the farm.

Cleaning and Reuse

• Remove before harvest;
• Clean with a spatula and neutral biosolvent;
• Renew glue with Tangle-Trap (156 g), commercially available.
