Galloprotect Pack - The professional solution for healthy forests

Common name: Pine sawyer beetle.

Recommended trap: Multi-funnel type large with twelve segments. Note: The trap is purchased separately.

Purpose

Dispensers intended for the monitoring and control of the insect vector of the nematode that causes pine wilt disease. The product is indicated for forest areas with the presence or risk of infestation by Monochamus galloprovincialis, especially in zones with weakened trees.

Pack Composition

The Galloprotect Pack consists of three types of dispensers:

• Galloprotect 2D - Two dispensers: Aggregation pheromone (2-undecyloxy-1-ethanol) and kairomones (ipsenol and 2-methyl-3-buten-1-ol);
• Galloprotect PLUS - Two dispensers with kairomonal attractant (alpha-pinene).

Duration: 45 to 50 days, depending on temperature, ventilation and humidity conditions.

Application

• Follow the guidelines of the authorities and the technical data sheet;
• Install the dispensers in distinct positions within the same trap (Pheromone: in the lower part, kairomone: in the upper part and Galloprotect PLUS: in the centre of the trap);
• The traps should be hung at about 2 metres from the ground, with a spacing of 100 to 150 metres between them, and in open zones;
• It is recommended to carry out periodic counts of the captures;
• Monitoring should be complemented with appropriate forest management.

Storage and Handling

• Product supplied in a sealed individual package, impermeable to vapours;
• Store in a cool place, without opening until the moment of use [Galloprotect 2D: keep in a freezer and Galloprotect PLUS: keep in a refrigerator (WARNING: never freeze these dispensers!)];
• Shelf life: up to 1 year after the manufacturing date;
• Do not perforate or open the dispensers;
• Use gloves during handling.
