Pityophthorus juglandis

Common name: Walnut twig beetle.

Recommended trap: Multi-funnel type. Alternatively, it is possible to use the Funnel type green and transparent with cross barrier or also the Cross barrier type. Note: The trap is purchased separately.

Omnilure (attractant dispenser) containing 2 g of special short-chain branched alcohols formulated in non-woven fabric inside a plastic dispenser, for monitoring the walnut twig beetle in a trap for 4 to 6 weeks. The insect is the vector of the fungus Geosmithia morbida, the causal agent of thousand cankers disease in walnut.

Attention: Gloves must be used to handle the dispenser after opening the sealed packaging. The attractant dispenser needs to be activated, in order to release it. To activate the dispenser, the hook must be pulled until a slight click is felt, in order to open the dispenser and allow the gradual release of the attractant. After opening, the dispenser must be hung on the multi-funnel trap or funnel with cross barrier.

The product is available in individual sealed packaging of 9.4 g (2 g of attractant) (minimum order of 50 units).

For smaller quantities (minimum order of 5 or 10 units), the product will be supplied loose, without individual packaging.
