The BIOSANI Delta Trap is an ecological monitoring device, manufactured in resistant corrugated polypropylene, designed for the selective capture of small and medium-sized lepidopterans. Its triangular design allows practical and effective installation in various agricultural crops and forest environments.

Technical characteristics

• Lightweight and durable structure with quick-assembly system (includes one trap structure);
• Support wire included for fixing to vegetation or structures (includes 1 wire);
• Removable adhesive sticky base for retaining the captured insects (includes 1 sticky base - if you need the trap without or with more sticky bases - contact BIOSANI);

• Recording area on the base for monitoring notes.

Mode of operation

• The sex pheromone dispenser or other specific one (not included - purchased separately) is placed inside the trap over the centre of the sticky base, attracting the adults of the target species;
• Normally, only the males are attracted and captured, but in the case of using kairomones or parapheromones, the females can also be attracted and retained;
• The insects become trapped on the sticky base, allowing periodic counting and analysis.

Commercial availability

• Sold individually, with (product presented on this page) or without (contact BIOSANI to purchase the trap without the glue) a sticky base;
• Available as part of kits with two or five traps, containing specific pheromone dispensers and sticky bases for 3 uses (see the available kits by accessing the link provided);
• NOTE: The product presented on this page is supplied with: 1 delta trap, 1 support wire and 1 sticky base. Attention: It requires the pheromone dispenser, which must be purchased separately, according to the target species to be monitored.

Dose: 1 to 5 traps w/ dispenser/ha (depending on the objective, plot, crop density, season and attack intensity - consult the documentation).
