FytoSave^® - Plant immunity activated with natural precision

FytoSave^® is an innovative elicitor of plant defenses, developed on the basis of a patented complex of natural oligosaccharides called COS-OGA. This complex combines:

• COS (chito-oligosaccharides): derived from chitin, extracted from crustaceans.
• OGA (oligogalacturonides): obtained from the pectin present in plants.

Its action is preventive and not directly fungicidal, activating the plants' intrinsic defense mechanisms to combat fungal diseases such as downy mildew and powdery mildew, without leaving residues or exerting selective pressure on pathogens.

How does FytoSave^® work?

When recognized by the receptors of the plant's cell membrane, COS-OGA triggers a cascade of biochemical reactions that simulate an infection, leading to the activation of systemic acquired resistance (SAR):

• Strengthening of the cell wall: Activation of genes that promote the deposition of callose, lignin and suberin, hindering the penetration of the fungus;
• Production of phytoalexins: Low-molecular-weight antimicrobial compounds with antifungal action;
• Synthesis of defense proteins: Such as chitinases and glucanases, which degrade cell-wall components of invading fungi;
• Modulation of gene expression: Activation of metabolic pathways such as the phenylpropanoid pathway, associated with the plant immune response.

• No risk of resistance: Does not act directly on the fungus, avoiding the selection of resistant strains;
