Splendana Pro Ball®

Splendana Pro Ball^® is a product for the effective control of the damage of the larva of the late chestnut tortrix (Cydia splendana) and is based on the mating disruption method using a sex pheromone with a single application per season, preferably before the start of the pest's flight (in May or June usually). Splendana Pro Ball^® is used to prevent mating, since the sex pheromone, when released, saturates the surrounding environment, hindering the location of the females by the males, making their reproduction impossible and consequently the egg-laying that is the cause of the worm damage in chestnuts.

The balls containing the pheromone are projected uniformly inside the canopy of the tree using a paintball launcher (standard calibre 0.68) (Attention: respect the safety standards of the launcher during its handling and consult the instructions for the application of the product).

Dose: 600 balls / ha.

The product is available in a 1.5kg pack (approx. 600 balls).
